On the morning of Saturday 10 November a number of us gathered in Ferniehill Park to do some clearing and planting in the Wildflower corner. We picked up some litter and leftovers from fireworks night, and planted wildflower plugs including Evening Primrose, Alpine Strawberries, and Self Heal along with some bulbs. We'll look forward to going back in the spring to see the results!
Mike Shields of City of Edinburgh Council kindly loaned us tools for the work, and the weather couldn't have been better (for November): bright clear and not too windy. We'd got all the work done in an hour and a half, and left feeling very productive.
